New Content
(no login required)
As many of us had to pivot during the past two years, “new” content became the buzzword. For our industry, new content is, but is not limited to, feature films, concerts, theater presentations, live presentations, gaming, etc. GSCA and the GSCA Industry Development Committee review the results of the New Content Survey that was conducted the summer of 2022. It is the hope of the committee that this survey serves as a catalyst for ongoing discussion regarding this topic. The learnings from the survey will serve as a starting point for future conversations, webinars, seminars, etc., that will benefit all parts of our industry. Presented by GSCA Industry Development committee Co-Chairs Caroline Borgudd, Cosmonova, and Jim Remar, Cosmosphere.

Navigating the Complexities of the Giant Screen Postproduction Pipeline
(no login required)
Producing a giant screen film is a complicated and intricate process
that is made even more challenging, not simpler, by the variety of
digital technologies in the production pipeline. In this webinar, our
panel of filmmakers, postproduction experts, sound designers/mixers, and
distributors will pull back the curtain on the process of preparing a
giant screen film for distribution. There are many steps and a multitude
of formats that filmmakers must create to accommodate wildly different
projection systems that require their own specialized picture and audio
files. Our team will address how to provide ample budget and prepare for
the massive number of deliverables to ensure your film reaches the
largest number of theaters and audiences. No login is required to view this recording.

Getting the most from your communications, marketing, and advertising spend is always important. Over the past year, many theaters have embraced the challenge of doing more with less and have improved the efficiency of their marketing operations. In this webinar, we’ll hear from three theaters that have found success with more focused budgets including:
- Omniversum, The Hague, Netherlands
- New Mexico Museum of Natural History, Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Science Spectrum, Lubbock, Texas
As a bonus, all registrants were prompted to answer the question, “If you had a budget of $500 for marketing, how would you use it?” We shared these results during the webinar.
