Last Buffalo, The
Set in the Alberta Badlands, The Last Buffalo surrounds viewers with images and sounds of that area's creatures. Buffalo, cougars, mountain lions, and eagles are all used to reinforce the film's message that the wilderness and its inhabitants must be protected. Audiences watch as a newborn buffalo calf takes its first shaky steps. Through the wonders of 3D technology, viewers are dropped into the middle of a buffalo stampede as a hungry mountain lion searches for prey. The films also features sculptor Bill Lishman as he creates a life-sized buffalo from molten iron. |
