Hail Columbia!
Hail Columbia! follows the first flight of the shuttle craft, highlighting its final preparation, pre-launch, take-off, the breathtaking flight itself, and the dramatic re-entry and landing. Interwoven are glimpses of the commander, veteran astronaut John Young, and the pilot Robert Crippen, as well as some of the many scientists, engineers, and support personnel who made possible the success of the world's first space shuttle. |
